Al-Futtaim Logistics recognises long-standing employees

Al-Futtaim Logistics recently recognised two employees from their automotive logistics division for their long-standing service with Al-Futtaim for nearly four decades.

During the recent inauguration ceremony held on 11th August 2015, at the spacious new logistics yard in Khalifa Industrial Zone, Abu Dhabi, Omar Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman Al-Futtaim and Len Hunt, President, Al-Futtaim Automotive group, congratulated and thanked Padmanaban Parayil, Operations Manager, Automotive Division, Abu Dhabi, and Pir Buksh, Senior Heavy Vehicle Driver, Automotive Division, Abu Dhabi, for their years of continuous service with the group.

Padmanaban joined Al-Futtaim Motors in 1979 as a typist clerk in Abu Dhabi before being promoted to Stock Movement In-charge in 1986. He was then transferred to Al-Futtaim Logistics as a Warehouse Supervisor in 1998, and took over as a Regional Manager for the Transport Department. With 36 years of service, he presently works as an Operations Manager for Al-Futtaim Logistics' Automotive division. Padmanaban was the recipient of an exceptional efforts award for his outstanding performance in 2013.

Pir joined Al-Futtaim Logistics in 1986 as a Heavy Vehicle Driver in the Transport division and was later promoted to Senior Heavy Vehicle Driver in 2010. Through his nearly 30 years of service with Al-Futtaim Logistics, he has been instrumental in sharing his knowledge with his team and received exceptional efforts awards for his outstanding and consistent performance in 2011 and 2013.

Both employees have continually evolved through the years with the company and thanks to their combined wealth of experience, have pivotal roles in training new associates, while also maintaining continuity of service for Al-Futtaim Logistics and its customers.
