Al-Futtaim Logistics celebrates UAE National Flag Day
Flag Day falls on November 3, and coincides with the day President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President of the UAE. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, called for launching a national, popular, comprehensive and continuous campaign to mark the Flag Day and called on all Emiratis to hoist the flag and participate in the national event. This year National Flag Day is being marked under the slogan ‘Raise it High ... Raise it Proud'.
Spearheaded by Mr. Nasser AlBaloushi, Deputy GM Emiratisation & Corporate Affairs, Al-Futtaim Automotive Corporate, Al-Futtaim Logistics organized a flag hoisting ceremony, supported by Mr. Ali Shalash – Security Manager and Ms. Hayat Abdulla – Claims Officer, at Al-Futtaim Logistics’ JAFZA South Zone office. Mr. Raman Kumar, Acting Managing Director highlighted the significance in a gathering attended by over 50 employees.
UAE Flag is a symbol of union, highlighting the value of national unity and denotes strong sense of loyalty and belonging among the UAE community. Mr. Raman Kumar, Acting Managing Director said “Al-Futtaim Logistics is honored to raise the UAE flag on this occasion. We are able to witness what the leaders of this country have envisioned and are very grateful to be part of the growth of this nation.”
