Al-Futtaim Logistics - Hero of the Pandemic Award in Fulfillment

Al-Futtaim Logistics won the “Hero of the Pandemic Award” in the fulfillment category at the Transport & Logistics Middle East awards held on 12th July.

The prestigious awards were decided on a customer response-based voting system. According to Transport & Logistics Middle East, the 2021 “Hero of the Pandemic Award – Fulfillment” category winner demonstrated exceptional differentiation through their service accuracy and order volumes fulfilled per day in a hyper-competitive marketplace. Al-Futtaim Logistics competed against some of the industry’s top e-commerce companies in the category.

The year 2020 brought out the best in supply chain and logistics companies. Post pandemic, in the last quarter of 2020, Al-Futtaim Logistics nearly quadrupled the order fulfillment volumes whilst maintaining 99.8% order accuracy for its third-party customers, with a Turnaround Time (TAT) adherence of 98.7%. For the 7 day White Friday sale and other promotion periods, the average fulfillment capacity was at an exponential level with TAT fulfilment within 6 hours.

While most industries had to adapt to the new COVID-19 norms, the logistics industry in particular had to undergo many changes to abide by the new stringent rules and regulations at a local, regional and global level, while ensuring the safety of its employees and customers.

Mr. Raman Kumar, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Logistics thanked Transport & Logistics Middle East, and commented: “I dedicate this award to all Al-Futtaim Logistics associates, especially our silent heroes who remained 100% focused on delivering our customers’ expectations, whilst navigating the challenges of this unprecedented situation and ensuring the health and safety of customers and associate at all times.”
