Al-Futtaim Logistics, event logistics provider for Nelly Furtado concert in Abu Dhabi

Al-Futtaim Logistics was recently commissioned to handle the logistics of musical equipment, customs clearance and delivery to the venue at Abu Dhabi for the live performance show of Nelly Furtado held on 26th November at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The race to be one step ahead of the game in the ever emerging Logistics industry is challenging. To stay competitive, it is crucial to satisfy customers' needs and requirements while utilising right staff and labour effectively and economically. For this event, the shipment contained 18 cases of musical instruments shipped from Toronto, Canada to Al-Futtaim Logistics Dubai. The Airfreight Manager, Terence Noronha, along with his team of experts ensured and checked that the goods arrived on the flight as manifested, ensuring effective online process of the delivery order, including transferral of goods to its warehouse in good condition, customs documentation completion with accurate harmonized code.

Once customs cleared, the goods were stored at the company's bonded warehouse for 12 hours ready for delivery in the early morning of the 25th November. It was the responsibility of Terence, who personally intervened with the assistance of three others, to ensure the on time delivery as promised.

The truck arrived on time as committed to the entertainment organiser at Yas Island, who was delighted to receive the goods as promised. The physical inventory and checks were conducted on-site and goods were delivered in good condition.
