Al-Futtaim Logistics successfully underwent its first ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) on 29th and 30th of January, as a result of which DNV has announced that Al-Futtaim Logistics is to retain the ISO 9001:2008 certification which it had achieved in 2012.
Al-Futtaim Logistics first received ISO 9001:2008 certification in February 2012 by DNV, an independent foundation established in 1864 with the purpose of safeguarding life, property and the environment. Building on last year's achievement of the internationally recognised quality management standard which specifies Quality Management System requirements, this year's ISO surveillance audit results showed a continued improvement of existing business processes and procedures, and overall solutions for the customers.
The auditors noted in their findings the increased focus on associates' engagement, with particular reference to the positive effects of the Drive Magic Moments programme.
Tom Nauwelaerts, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Logistics said: "A big personal thank you to the entire Al-Futtaim Logistics team for having achieved this together. Today's ISO audit results confirm that our great results of the past year were truly the result of amazing customer and employee focus, conducted in a very consistent and structured manner. As such, we are gearing up for another great year. Well done and congratulations!"
Len Hunt, President - Automotive also expressed his appreciation for the efforts and dedication of Al-Futtaim Logistics employees for the role they played in retaining the important ISO certification.
